Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer | Review

Hello all!
I hope you are all having a fantastic Christmas! I am enjoying mine! With all the present opening out of the way, I have just enough time to write a quick review on a new favourite product of mine!

So, the concealer in question is from Maybelline, and its called the Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer. There are many different brands doing these highlighting concealer pens, but this is the first one I've tried. I'm a big fan of concealer's, and anything to brighten underneath the eyes!

So a little about this product. It retails at £6.99, which in my eyes is quite expensive for a drugstore concealer, especially considering how much product you get. There are 3 different shades to choose from ( I think in the US there are 6), and I got mine in the lightest shade Ivory. It's a twist concealer pen that applies the product through a little brush. It can be a little bit messy, and also I think I either don't have enough product coming out, or too much. So it is quite hard to control the use of the product. I do actually like the idea of a brush applicator, as it makes it easy to apply.

It claims to have a gel-based formula which diffuses light to provide on the spot perfection in just one touch. It illuminates, as well as conceals. And is also suitable for sensitive skin, and all skin types. The product doesn't come out too thick or thin, and blends out really easily. It gives a fair amount of coverage, but most definitely highlights and give a gorgeous glow to any areas you apply it. I love the finished look of it, and it seems to last well throughout the day.

One big issue I do have with this concealer, is the amount of product you get. As you'll be able to see from the picture above, you really don't get a lot of product for the £6.99 you're paying for it! Not even half of the concealer pen contains any product, so it is ridiculously over packaged. Nowhere on the packaging does it actually say how many ml's of product you get, but after a little researching online, most websites are saying it only contains 1.5ml of product! Most of my other concealers contain at least 6 or 7mls! Not only is this ridiculously overpriced for the poor amount of product you actually get, but of course it's not going to last any time at all.

Despite the fact of it being overpriced, and having such little product, I do still really like it. It gives a gorgeous finish to your makeup and really brightens up any area you apply it. I would be tempted to buy it again, but I would like to also trial test some other highlighting concealer pens. Hopefully I will be able to find a similar product for a cheaper price, or with at least some more product!
