Poundland Makeup Review | Makeup Gallery
I've always been a fan of heading into places like Poundland and B&M, to get my hands on bargain makeup products. You can usually get things from brands like Rimmel, Sally Hansen, and Maybelline. But it was not until recently that I discovered that Poundland now have their own makeup line called Makeup Gallery. It has been out for a few months apparently, but is new to me!! So I had to head down to my local Poundland and see what products they do.
I only got 3 items, but they did have lots of nail polishes, eyeshadows, lipsticks & eyeliner pencils. Now being Poundland, obviously everything was £1. I was quite suprised to see that the products had their own little stand. Annoyingly, there was no samples in the Poundland I went to, so I just had to guide myself by looking at the colours as to whether I'd like them or not. I'm not sure if this is the same at all Poundland's. There was a lot to choose from, and a good array of colours. The packaging of the products is very nice. It's not cheap looking, but is very simple.
I picked up one of their nail polishes, in the shade 26 Purple Sheen. I really liked this colour, it's a gorgeous plummy/fushia/purple colour. I wasn't expecting that much from the nail polish, as usually cheaper nail polishes are a bit rubbish. However, I was pleasantly surprised! The polish went on very easily, and was a nice consistency - not too thick or too thin. With 2 coats, the colour was completely opaque and dried really quickly. There was no streaky bits, and the polish had a nice glossy finish to it. I didn't apply a top coat to the nail polish as I wanted to see how it would last without it. It did last very well! After about 4 days wear, it started to chip, and I had it on for about 7, at which point it did need removing, but hadn't drastically chipped. I'm really impressed with the nail polish and would be happy to try some more. And with a top coat on, it will definitely be a winner!
I also tried one of their blushers, in the shade Coral Rose. This I wasn't as impressed with. This blusher doesn't have much colour pay-off, and lacks any brightness. I do believe that blushers are better when they are not as pigmented, so they give a nice natural flush of colour, but this blusher has hardly any colour pay off at all. You do need to build this blusher up, if you want it to show up. However if you are very pale and need a lighter blush, then this could work really well for you! But it does have quite a bit of fall out which is a little bit annoying. I much prefer the £1 blushers from MUA and Makeup Revolution, so this is a range of blushers that I wont be trying again.
The final thing I got was a lipstick in the shade Natural Pink. This I was very happy with, it's not only a really pretty everyday pink, but it's also very creamy and also very pigmented. This lipstick reminds me a lot of the ones Makeup Revolution do. I will be happy to try some different colours of this!
Overall I am fairly impressed with the products from Makeup Gallery. I will be happy to try some more of their products, however I will be bypassing the blushers as I feel you can get better quality ones for the same price from other brands.

Amazing blog post! I really love your YouTube channel and blog, you're really one of my favourite YouTubers out there and someone I can always depend on to give a honest detailed review, without any biased opinions due to sponsorships. On that note, I love the purple nail polish you picked up, might have to pick a few bits from this range when I next go to Poundland. :) xx
